December 2019 Empties

I cannot believe that the year is over! The end of another decade. The beginning of something new is about to occur…

The end of a year is something special. You can say goodbye to the old and hello to the new. You can strive to be something more. You can reinvent yourself.

On a makeup related note: Make sure to replace your mascaras, makeup sponges and liquid liners if you have had them in use over 3 months. Dont start your year using old or dirty tools 🙂

This months empties total is $185.45!!

Our total amount for 2019 is $1,419.50!

This amount far exceeds what I thought I would have used up for the year! It all adds up.

November 2019 Empties

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We have spent the last week sick but we are almost at the end! I finally dont have medicine head anymore.

I spent the last 5 or 6 months working thru some Elf skincare products. They were very affordable but I need something with more effective ingredients as an older woman. They would be great for teens as an entrance to skin care tho.

Elf regularly has sales, so if you are interested, just create an account and you will be notified about those sales.

You will also notice that I am steadily working thru my 25 to the 25th Project Pan  products! Im so excited to see how much progress I can get!

25 to the 25th Christmas Project Pan

Edit: This post was supposed to go up last Thursday but we had some connectivity issues and it wouldnt publish. I lost a large bit of this post so thats why its not as detailed as many of my other project introductions.

I decided to do one last project before the end of the year. I wanted to make sure I finished off a lot of samples I had hanging around and use up some older skin care products before the end of the year.

Most of these products will be easy to finish because they are either foil samples or I just have a small amount left.

Will you be doing one last push to finish anything?

July 2019 Empties

We are already at the end of August and I realized that I havent posted my empties for the month of July. So, without further ado, here are my empties for July.

This months empties total is $42.68!!

I was most impressed with the Pixi Glow Tonic and I am not surprised that it has a cult following. I had definite results by the end of the bottle. I have repurchased but I do have to use up a few other toners before I can open another. Its safe to say that Pixi will now be my toner of choice.

My year end total so far is a little over $900!!!! How are you doing this year on using up products? Are you keeping track?

June 2019 Empties

My apologies to those who were expecting a post last week. Its always crazy around the 4th of July for us.

Last month I concentrated on perfume and foil samples. I was able to finish 4 of my perfume samples and many skincare foils.

This months empties total is $70.39!!

Did you finish anything last month?

For July I am going to be concentrating on finishing up a lot of the deluxe sized face masks I had begun for the May Mask Challenge.

 

Foil Sample Use-Up

Are you like me and accumulate foil samples? I seem to just put most of them in a drawer – almost never to be seen again.

In the past few years, I have given some samples that weren’t for me to those who might have some use for them, or I have included them into my Poshmark/Mercari sales.

But I really need to use the foil samples I kept because some of these samples have been sitting in a drawer for over a year and might be very close to expiration. I have decided that I will not be obtaining any more samples until all the foil samples have been used up.

As you can see in the photo below – I have several high end foil samples. Some of the brands pictured below include: Algenist, Milk, Mac, Elemis, Clinique, Glamglow. I will be working these into my daily routine until they are all finished.

Do you make it a point to use up the foil samples you get with your orders?

 

September 2018 Empties

My apologies for the delay in posts. For some reason, when I draft a post, it doesnt publish them the first go-around.

I feel like I did not finish a lot up in September, but I did manage to finish some full size items, so thats a win in my book.

• Tresemme Reverse System Shampoo and Conditioner – I received this from Influenster about 2 years ago, and it took me forever to get thru. I was not impressed by this and conditioning my hair before shampooing did not make sense some times. The shampoo smelled nice but I would not purchase.
• Isoprophyl Alcohol – I use this stuff for everything. I sanitize my makeup, vape stuff as well as use this to clean the glass in my home. Ive already purchased and began using the next bottle.
• OPI Avojuice Sweet Lemon Sage body lotion – I LOVE this lotion so much! I even cut it up to use every last bit. I purchased 3 of these at the time, so Im working on one and have one still for back up.
• Cotton Rounds – I get these from the dollar store. I mostly use these to get off my eye makeup. I always have backups.
• Anna Sui perfume sample – I believe I received this back when I still got Birchbox. I did not care for it but I did finish the sample.
• Amore Pacific moisturizer – I put this in my Halloween Project Pan and Im happy to say that its done. If I had dry skin, this would be a great moisturizer.
• Mario Badescu Night Cream – This was also in my Halloween Project Pan. I did like using this as a night cream, but its more suited for those with dry skin.
• Sunday Riley CEO Serum – This was also an item in my Halloween Project Pan. Im still using the CEO moisturizer from this line. I was not impressed with this serum, but its a foil packet and its difficult to determine what something like this does for your skin with one or two uses.
• Strivectin Neck Cream – I LOVE this! I have a small sample to get thru but its a definite repurchase. I love what using this has done for the appearance of my neck wrinkles.
• Color Pop Super Shock Shadow in Glow – I LOVED this shadow. It was great for no makeup days to just put on my lid to brighten the appearance of my eyes. Unfortunately, this dried up.
• BareMinerals Lash Domination mascara – I like both versions of this mascara but the wand on this variation suits my eye shape better. I would purchase once Im done with the mascaras I have on hand.
• Benefit They’re Real mascara – I liked this the first couple of times I used it, but it seemed to get really gloopy. By about a month into using this, it because super difficult to work with.
• Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleanser – I ended up using this cleanser in the shower as a short face wash because it made my skin feel super tight. This did not remove my makeup. Odd because their regular micellar water does a fine job at removing my makeup.
• Claritin Ready Tabs – Already repurchased because Im allergic to living.
• Mac eye shadow remover – I like getting these as add ons when I make my purchases. I go between loving this and hating it. I do not have any more of these in my collection.
• Sephora eye makeup remover – LOVE this. Its a great affordable eye makeup remover. I would repurchase if I did not have the Neutrogena brand as back ups.
• Glam Glow SuperMud mask – LOVE this mask and I would purchase once I go thru the ton of masks I have on hand.

VAPE:

• TMaxx Vanilla Bourbon Custard – This is not a flavor I thought Id ever like but here I am – done a 120 ml bottle. I would repurchase but as with everything else, I have other juices to finish.
• Deadline Limeaid and Abetting – This was my last bottle. Right now there aren’t making it anymore and Im truly sad about it. Come back POH juices!!!

What were you able to finish?

August 2018 Empties

For some reason, I thought I finished more than this last month, but the proof is in the pudding-as they say.

Here are the products I finished:

1. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub – I dont go through these as often in the summer, but I always have a backup.
2. White Could cotton balls – I used these mainly for nail polish. I have a backup but its the dollar store brand if I remember correctly.
3. Neutrogena eye makeup remover – One of my favorite makeup removers. I do have a backup, but Im using some samples Ive received first.
4. Clinique facial cleanser – I believe this is my last one. I would not repurchase. I like other facial cleansers better.
5. Korres cleanser – I did not like this at all.
6. Glam Glow Supercleanse – I liked this but I think Im allergic to something in it because my face gets swollen every time I use it.
7. Skin & Co truffle eye cream – This was ok. I prefer other eye gels/creams to this.
8. Sephora brush cleanser – I love this stuff. Its a bit cheaper than the beauty blender cleanser and does a fine job cleaning my brushes.
9. Cotton Rounds – I use these for toner and removing my eye makeup. I get them at the dollar store and I usually have backups.
10. Erno Lazlo eye masks – I got these from Influenster to review and wanted a treat. I like these but I cant justify the cost.
11. Covergirl Lashblast – Not my favorite Covergirl mascara, but I like it.
12. Doucce <sp> mascara – This was a very wet formula that really coated the lashes, but it got way too goopy too quick.
13. Ole Henriksen Night Gel – I did not like this.
14. Bonine – I get motion sickness. Enough said.
15. SKII Essense – This was too easy to use. Not enough of an improvement over my Loreal toner to justify the cost. Would not purchase. This was a project pan item.
16. Sunday Riley CEO serum – I do not like this. I have another foil packet to finish in my current project pan.
17. Origins Ginzing Moisturizer – This was ok. I wouldnt go out of my way to purchase. This was a project pan item.
18. L’Occitane Divine Eyes – I liked this but its pricy. This was a project pan item.

Vape Empties:

1. Clockwork Custard – not really my style of juice but it was alright. It was nice to try.
2. Savage Marcellus (Lemon Tart) – I really liked this juice and the site always does sales, but never includes this juice in their bundles.
3. Cloud Kiss – This is a juice from TiaVapes on youtube. It was a light strawberry cake batter. It was really good.
4. The Cake Shoppe Pound It – OMG Lemon Pound cake in vape form! I can finally get that sweet tooth craving without adding the calories!
5. ScopeJuice – Oatmeal Cookie wonderfulness 🙂 My readers know Ive been vaping this for a couple years now.

December 2017 Empties

Here are the products I have emptied in the month of December:

• Ion shampoo – I use this to wash my hair only when Im using a semi-permanent dye. I have two backups left but I would repurchase if it still performs after those bottles are empty.
• Cotton pads – I use these to remove makeup and for toner. I believe I still have one or two more packs but I would repurchase. I get these at the dollar store so they are a great value.
• Purlisse charcoal face mask – I got this in a subscription box and usually do not like sheet masks, but this one was great!
• Fresh clay mask – I was not impressed by this especially after seeing it hyped on youtube. I believe I might have a deluxe sample in my skin care drawer tho, but I would not purchase.
• Loreal Hydrafresh Toner – I love this stuff. It takes forever to go thru and its so inexpensive, so its a great value. I would repurchase but I have to get thru a Clinique toner first.
• Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner – I HATED this and ended up dumping out the conditioner because it did nothing for my hair. Would not purchase.
• Degree deodorant – This is my deodorant of choice and I have already repurchased.
• Garnier micellar water – I love this stuff. I have some eye makeup removers and Sephora micellar waters to finish but I would repurchase once Ive finished those.
• Origins eye cream – I did not like this. I think it caused me to get little bumps under my eyes.
• Makeup Forever serum – I got this in a Sephora play box. I put it in an Advent panning project. I wasnt impressed but the sample only lasted a handful of applications.
• Strivectin eye cream – I did like this while I was using it, but I wouldnt repurchase due to how expensive it is.
• Michael Todd Beauty toner – I did not like this. Would not purchase.
• Origins night cream – I did not like this. Would not purchase.
• Korres yogurt moisturizer – This sample only lasted a week but I was not impressed. Would not purchase.
• Sephora moisturizer – I really like this. Ive received a few foils packs and have enjoyed. I would purchase but I have a drawer full of moisturizers to use up.
• GlamGlow supermud mask – I LOVE these and would purchase if they weren’t so expensive. I have a  drawer full of skin care to use before I can think of purchasing more of these.
• SeaBreeze astringent – I LOVE this stuff. I know its horrible for the skin but Ive used this for years. I have a liter bottle that I just refill this container with.
• Lush Volcano foot mask – This was a sample and I did purchase a full size thats pictured here also. I would repurchase because it made my feet feel so good!
• Real Chemistry skin peel – I did not like this. The scent was off putting as well.
• Purity cleanser – I did like this but not enough to purchase over any other cleanser.
• Origins Checks and Balances – LOVE this cleanser! I have a travel size in my backups.
• Ipsy points reward – this was a brush cleaner, but it was so small that I could only fit my eye brushes. Would not purchase based on this ‘sample’
• BareMinerals Lash Domination liquid eyeliner – I really liked this liquid liner and would repurchase once I finish the other liners I have in my backups.
• Essense lash princess mascara – I like both of the Essense mascaras and would repurchase, but I have so many backup mascaras to use up first.
• Hempzilla CBD gummies – I got these when I purchased my CBD extract. Ive been trying to find some relief from FM and SLE symptoms and wanted to see for myself if they worked.
• Dolce & Golbanna light blue perfume sample – LOVE this perfume. Received this sample in a sample bundle from Ulta. I already have a rollerball.
• Delectable body lotion – I did not like this for my body, and used it as a hand lotion instead. It was okay as a hand lotion. Would not go out of my way to purchase tho.
• Scope MaddScope and Deadline Limeaid and Abetting – My two favorite e-juices. No empties would be complete without it.
• Tree Hut scrubs in Shea and Coconut Lime – I use one of these a month. LOVE them and have backups of both.

November 2017 Empties

Since its the beginning of December, its time to go thru some of my ‘trash’ again. Here are the items Ive finished up in November:

• Neutrogena wipes – These are my favorite makeup wipes. This is my last pack so Ill have to purchase soon.
• Ponds wipes – These were ok. They removed my makeup fabulously, but they made my face feel oily.
• Freeman masks – I dont like the packaging on these, and Im fairly certain the full size comes in a tube. I did like how they left my skin feeling.
• Patchology eye masks – I got these in a subscription box and did not like them. Would not recommend.
• Hask shampoo and conditioner – I really liked this shampoo and conditioner. It made my hair feel nice and the scent was great.
• Bareminerals Skinlongevity Serum – My holy grail serum! I have repurchased.
• Lush Volcano foot mask – This was a sample and after one use, I purchased a full size. I forgot I had these. This stuff is messy but my feet feel great after.
• Glamglow moisturizer – I loved the consistency of this moisturizer, but my skin is far too oily to use this year round.
• Glamglow supermud mask – My favorite mask! I love how this smells and it seems to correct my oiliness for a day or so.
• Dior Diorshow mascara – I liked the formula of this mascara, but the scent was too overpowering.
• Curel Hydratherapy moisturizer – I like the Jergens better. This seemed to have a really unpleasant scent.
• It’s a 10 leave in conditioner – My favorite conditioner! This makes my hair smell great too.
• Bareminerals powder foundation – I love bareminerals powder foundations! This was just a sample size.
• -417 hand moisturizer – I really liked this for my hands. It sunk it and even lasted thru hand-washing.
• Coola setting spray – This made my makeup last but it smelled like straight sunscreen.
• Essence Lash Princess mascara – This is a great mascara but I like the pink one better.
• Bareminerals clay chameleon cleanser – I liked this cleanser but Id rather just keep the clay in face masks.
• Clarispray – I got this from influenster or pinchme for review. Loved it so much Im still using it. If you have nasal allergies, you should try it!
• Claritin ready-tabs – Thank goodness the weather is finally cooling off so I dont have to take allergy meds.
• Deadline limeade and abetting – Yep, another huge bottle gone 🙂
• Scopejuice Maddscope – My absolute favorite e-juice. I have to slow down since my supply is limited at the moment tho, but I will absolutely repurchase!
