February 2019 Empties

Happy March!!

As you can see by the photo, I did not finish a lot of products, but I did finish up some staples. I was able to finish one of my favorite shampoos (Ion brand) as well as a now discontinued conditioner. Im actually working my way thru some deluxe samples before I open a full size shampoo and conditioner, and you can see a shampoo sample from L’Occitane as well as two body washes (I actually liked the Aveeno body wash so much that I have already purchased a full size).

My grand total for the month of February is $168.66

I wanted to put a spotlight on the Nutrition Now MultiVites gummies. I received these for free for review but liked them so much that I purchased them. Surprisingly, these were only $12 on Vitacost’s website.

Face Masking into the New Year!

Before I post my October Empties, I wanted to post about starting a new project. I know I have a Project 10 Pan that I just started, but this one is going to be different. I realized as I was organizing things that I had a bunch of skin care I was neglecting to use up quick enough.

I came to the conclusion that I just dont mask enough. So, from now until New Years Eve, when I need skin care the most, I will be attempting to do a mask at least every other day.

I will be using up the oldest face masks in my collection and I hope to use most of what is pictured below by New Years Eve.

September 2018 Empties

My apologies for the delay in posts. For some reason, when I draft a post, it doesnt publish them the first go-around.

I feel like I did not finish a lot up in September, but I did manage to finish some full size items, so thats a win in my book.

• Tresemme Reverse System Shampoo and Conditioner – I received this from Influenster about 2 years ago, and it took me forever to get thru. I was not impressed by this and conditioning my hair before shampooing did not make sense some times. The shampoo smelled nice but I would not purchase.
• Isoprophyl Alcohol – I use this stuff for everything. I sanitize my makeup, vape stuff as well as use this to clean the glass in my home. Ive already purchased and began using the next bottle.
• OPI Avojuice Sweet Lemon Sage body lotion – I LOVE this lotion so much! I even cut it up to use every last bit. I purchased 3 of these at the time, so Im working on one and have one still for back up.
• Cotton Rounds – I get these from the dollar store. I mostly use these to get off my eye makeup. I always have backups.
• Anna Sui perfume sample – I believe I received this back when I still got Birchbox. I did not care for it but I did finish the sample.
• Amore Pacific moisturizer – I put this in my Halloween Project Pan and Im happy to say that its done. If I had dry skin, this would be a great moisturizer.
• Mario Badescu Night Cream – This was also in my Halloween Project Pan. I did like using this as a night cream, but its more suited for those with dry skin.
• Sunday Riley CEO Serum – This was also an item in my Halloween Project Pan. Im still using the CEO moisturizer from this line. I was not impressed with this serum, but its a foil packet and its difficult to determine what something like this does for your skin with one or two uses.
• Strivectin Neck Cream – I LOVE this! I have a small sample to get thru but its a definite repurchase. I love what using this has done for the appearance of my neck wrinkles.
• Color Pop Super Shock Shadow in Glow – I LOVED this shadow. It was great for no makeup days to just put on my lid to brighten the appearance of my eyes. Unfortunately, this dried up.
• BareMinerals Lash Domination mascara – I like both versions of this mascara but the wand on this variation suits my eye shape better. I would purchase once Im done with the mascaras I have on hand.
• Benefit They’re Real mascara – I liked this the first couple of times I used it, but it seemed to get really gloopy. By about a month into using this, it because super difficult to work with.
• Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleanser – I ended up using this cleanser in the shower as a short face wash because it made my skin feel super tight. This did not remove my makeup. Odd because their regular micellar water does a fine job at removing my makeup.
• Claritin Ready Tabs – Already repurchased because Im allergic to living.
• Mac eye shadow remover – I like getting these as add ons when I make my purchases. I go between loving this and hating it. I do not have any more of these in my collection.
• Sephora eye makeup remover – LOVE this. Its a great affordable eye makeup remover. I would repurchase if I did not have the Neutrogena brand as back ups.
• Glam Glow SuperMud mask – LOVE this mask and I would purchase once I go thru the ton of masks I have on hand.

VAPE:

• TMaxx Vanilla Bourbon Custard – This is not a flavor I thought Id ever like but here I am – done a 120 ml bottle. I would repurchase but as with everything else, I have other juices to finish.
• Deadline Limeaid and Abetting – This was my last bottle. Right now there aren’t making it anymore and Im truly sad about it. Come back POH juices!!!

June 2018 Empties

Many apologies for my absence but there was a death in the family and I felt the need to take a break.

With that out of the way, here are my June empties.

1. Assured Cotton Rounds – I use these all the time. I get these from my dollar store and I already have back ups.
2. OPI Avojuice (sweet lemon sage) lotion – I LOVE this stuff. It smells fantastic and really sinks into the skin. Im already almost done another bottle.
3. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub – I alternate between the Coconut Lime and regular shea. I love this stuff because its not to rough but also rough enough to exfoliate.
4. Garnier Whole Blends shampoo and Conditioner – I get these samples all the time. I really do not like these and would not purchase.
5. Becca First Light primer (purple side) – I only used the first light because I dont need the extra glow with my oily skin. I did like this and have several samples of these.
6. Claritin Ready Tabs – I take these for my allergies. I already have another box because August (rag weed and trees).
7. Aurora eyeliner – I got this in a Birchbox or Ipsy and had this in a project pan. It was a decent enough eyeliner but I wouldnt go out of my way to buy it.
8. Makeup Forever eyeliner – I really like these eyeliners. They are one of my favorite formulas. I would repurchase if I didnt have all the liners I already have on hand.
9. Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream – I do like this eye cream but Ive found several others that I like more. Would not repurchase.
10. Essense Make Me Brow – I really like this formula. Its similar to the Benefit one for a fraction of the cost. I have repurchased.
11. Loreal Pure Clay cleanser – I got this sample from Ulta IIRC and found it to be a nice dupe for the Glam Glow brand. I purchased the full size after trying this.
12. Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb – I received this perfume sample in a Sephora Play and really liked it. I would repurchase once I finish off some perfumes I have in my collection.
13. Makeup Forever Velvet Mat Foundation sample – I liked this foundation and would purchase in the winter when my skin isnt as oily as it is now.
14. Marc Jacobs remarkable foundation sample – This color matched me ok. Ive tried other shades that didnt work as well. I would purchase.
15. Tarte concealer – I accidentally thought this was a foundation sample but it worked great. I ended up getting a foundation sample from Sephora to try out of the Amazonian Clay foundation.
16. Clinique gel moisturizer – I LOVE this moisturizer. I have some samples to get thru but its almost always in my rotation.
17. 2 Mac Next to Nothing foundation samples – I really like this foundation but I prefer the powder.
18. Sephora scrub – I use these when I take off face masks. I tend to go thru them every 6 months. I have repurchased.
19. T-Maxx No Frills Vanilla bourbon Custard – I really liked this juice and have purchased it in a 120 ml bottle.
20. This bottle came from Twisted 420s line but I cant remember the flavor. I would not repurchase.
21. Lemon Twist Pink Punch Lemonade – I did like it and have repurchased another 60 ml bottle.

March 2018 Empties

Today I am sharing my March empties. I love the satisfaction of finishing products.

• Cotton Rounds – I get these from the local dollar store and use them to take off my eye makeup and apply toner. I already have back ups.
• Garnier Whole blends Legendary Olive Shampoo and Condioner – This smelled incredible but did nothing for my hair. Would not purchase.
• Hask Chia Seed shampoo and Conditioner – I love how good Hask shampoo and conditioner smells, but only the Superfruit does anything for my hair.
• Loreal Ever Pure shampoo and Conditioner – I think I found this sample in a magazine. I did not like this at all. It made my scalp and hair feel heavy. Would not purchase.
• Ion Effective Hair Treatment – I get this from Sallys and use it with my Manic Panic or other dyes. It takes forever to finish up because of how I use it. They have changed the packaging but I have already repurchased.
• Shiseido Cotton – I love these and I do treat myself every now and then to a pack. I mostly use them for vaping tho.
• Dior Poison Girl – I have loved this perfume and have placed this in my Loves list at Sephora.
• Mon Guerlain – I love this perfume and do have a small rollerball (or is it a spray?).
• L’occitane hand cream – I love this hand cream. I got an Advent calendar as well as a free gift coupon so this is 1 of 3 hand cream samples I have.
• Benefit Roller Lash DS – I absolutely love this mascara and have a few others as backups already.
• Sephora Outrageous Curl mascara – This is one of my favorite mascaras. I have some others to work thru but I do plan on repurchasing.
• Clinique Take the Day off eye makeup remover – This worked alright but the Sephora brand, as well the Neutrogena brand work better for less money.
• MaddScope – What would an empties post be without my all day vape?
• No Frill Mills – Lemon Creme Filled Doughnut – I tried this juice and its ok. Its better than the other lemon juice I tried from this brand. I have repurchased if that tells you anything.
• Mac Prep + Prime primer – I love these samples. I think I might have two more left to use up, but anytime I get an order from Mac, I always get more.
• Peter Thomas Roth water drench moisturizer – I LOVE LOVE LOVE this moisturizer. I have some moisturizers to use up before I can purchase, but I hope its still being made by then.
• Clinique eye cream – I dont remember what the specific type is, but it works great and Id love a full size. I do have a bunch of samples as well as a full size BareMinerals eye cream to go thru first.
• Caudalie VinoPerfect Cell Renewal night cream – I used this but would not buy it. I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary to justify the price tag for this.
• Claritin – Because allergies suck.

December 2017 Empties

Here are the products I have emptied in the month of December:

• Ion shampoo – I use this to wash my hair only when Im using a semi-permanent dye. I have two backups left but I would repurchase if it still performs after those bottles are empty.
• Cotton pads – I use these to remove makeup and for toner. I believe I still have one or two more packs but I would repurchase. I get these at the dollar store so they are a great value.
• Purlisse charcoal face mask – I got this in a subscription box and usually do not like sheet masks, but this one was great!
• Fresh clay mask – I was not impressed by this especially after seeing it hyped on youtube. I believe I might have a deluxe sample in my skin care drawer tho, but I would not purchase.
• Loreal Hydrafresh Toner – I love this stuff. It takes forever to go thru and its so inexpensive, so its a great value. I would repurchase but I have to get thru a Clinique toner first.
• Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner – I HATED this and ended up dumping out the conditioner because it did nothing for my hair. Would not purchase.
• Degree deodorant – This is my deodorant of choice and I have already repurchased.
• Garnier micellar water – I love this stuff. I have some eye makeup removers and Sephora micellar waters to finish but I would repurchase once Ive finished those.
• Origins eye cream – I did not like this. I think it caused me to get little bumps under my eyes.
• Makeup Forever serum – I got this in a Sephora play box. I put it in an Advent panning project. I wasnt impressed but the sample only lasted a handful of applications.
• Strivectin eye cream – I did like this while I was using it, but I wouldnt repurchase due to how expensive it is.
• Michael Todd Beauty toner – I did not like this. Would not purchase.
• Origins night cream – I did not like this. Would not purchase.
• Korres yogurt moisturizer – This sample only lasted a week but I was not impressed. Would not purchase.
• Sephora moisturizer – I really like this. Ive received a few foils packs and have enjoyed. I would purchase but I have a drawer full of moisturizers to use up.
• GlamGlow supermud mask – I LOVE these and would purchase if they weren’t so expensive. I have a  drawer full of skin care to use before I can think of purchasing more of these.
• SeaBreeze astringent – I LOVE this stuff. I know its horrible for the skin but Ive used this for years. I have a liter bottle that I just refill this container with.
• Lush Volcano foot mask – This was a sample and I did purchase a full size thats pictured here also. I would repurchase because it made my feet feel so good!
• Real Chemistry skin peel – I did not like this. The scent was off putting as well.
• Purity cleanser – I did like this but not enough to purchase over any other cleanser.
• Origins Checks and Balances – LOVE this cleanser! I have a travel size in my backups.
• Ipsy points reward – this was a brush cleaner, but it was so small that I could only fit my eye brushes. Would not purchase based on this ‘sample’
• BareMinerals Lash Domination liquid eyeliner – I really liked this liquid liner and would repurchase once I finish the other liners I have in my backups.
• Essense lash princess mascara – I like both of the Essense mascaras and would repurchase, but I have so many backup mascaras to use up first.
• Hempzilla CBD gummies – I got these when I purchased my CBD extract. Ive been trying to find some relief from FM and SLE symptoms and wanted to see for myself if they worked.
• Dolce & Golbanna light blue perfume sample – LOVE this perfume. Received this sample in a sample bundle from Ulta. I already have a rollerball.
• Delectable body lotion – I did not like this for my body, and used it as a hand lotion instead. It was okay as a hand lotion. Would not go out of my way to purchase tho.
• Scope MaddScope and Deadline Limeaid and Abetting – My two favorite e-juices. No empties would be complete without it.
• Tree Hut scrubs in Shea and Coconut Lime – I use one of these a month. LOVE them and have backups of both.

March Empties

I dont usually post on Saturdays, but I missed posting this yesterday.

Here are my thoughts on my March empties:

1. Garner Micellar Water – I love this stuff! I use it to remove my eye makeup with a cotton round. I have already purchased a replacement.
2. Eyeko Fat Eyeliner – I had this in a MakeUp Use Up for this year. I received this in a Birchbox and while I enjoyed using it, I would not repurchased because I prefer other brands.
3. Eyeko Eyeliner – I had this in a MakeUp Use Up for this year. I got this item in a Birchbox and I did enjoy using it, but I would not repurchase because there are other brands I prefer.
4. Elf Eyeliner – This is another item I had in a Makeup Use Up for this year. This is one of my favorite eyeliners. I have not repurchased, because I am trying out another Elf eyeliner that many people rave about.
5. Dionis hand cream (White Jasmine and Shea) – I love this hand cream. This moisturizes my skin and smells fantastic. I have already repurchased.
6. Mane and Tail shampoo – I hated this shampoo. It seemed to tangle my very short hair and I did not enjoy the scent.
7. Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara – My holy grail mascara. I love the wand and you can’t beat the price. I already have a replacement.
8. Milk Mascara – I received this in a beauty box and ended up really liking the way it performed. I would consider repurchasing.
9. Scope Juice (MaddScope) – I am always buying this stuff. Its my favorite e-juice.
10. ROC Neck Cream – I had this in a project pan. Im glad I finished it because it smelled horrible.
11. Mac Prep and Prime – I had his in a project pan. I love using this in cooler months and I would definitely repurchase if I didnt have a bunch of samples to always use.
12. Pack of cotton rounds – I use these with my Micellar Water to remove my eye makeup. I have repurchased.
13. Alterna Caviar Shampoo and Conditioner – I liked the way these smelled but I saw no difference in my hair. Foil packets dont always give you the best results since you might get two uses out of them.
14. Matrix Biolage Recover Shampoo and Conditioner – I really dont have much of an opinion on these except that the shampoo has a better scent than the conditioner.

So those were my empties for the month of March. Im actually impressed at how many samples Ive been able to move out of my collection already this year.

January 2017 Empties

This year I resolved to completely use up the products in my collection, and that includes the samples Ive been getting in my subscription boxes.

I think I did a great job using up all of the things for the first month!

Hair Products:

• Futerer Shampoo & Conditioner – I did not like these. They did not lather enough for my liking and the scent was over-powering.
• Loreal Volume Filler Shampoo – I didnt mind this shampoo, but I didnt see a difference between this and my regular shampoo.

Makeup Products:

• Covergirl Mascara – This is my second favorite drug store mascara. This ended up drying out on me.
• Ulta Mascara Primer – I dont like using mascara primers. This came in a kit of primers I purchased back in August.
• BareMinerals Lash Domination (2 Deluxe samples) – Its a wetter mascara. I liked using these once the formula dried a bit.
• BareMinerals Mineral Veil – This is my FAVORITE powder to set my foundation.
• Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation (3 samples from Sephora) – I got these samples to try the foundation. I ended up purchasing the full size. (Its a great foundation for oily skin, but it does tend to oxidize about a shade darker)
• Laneige BB Cushion Foundation – I got this in a Target Beauty Box and I disliked it. Even the light shade I was sent was too dark for me and it made me look incredibly oily.

Cleansers:

• Garnier Makeup Removing Wipes – They removed my makeup, but I like the Neutrogena brand better.
• Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads – I got these in a Walmart or Target Beauty Box. I did not like these but they did remove my eye makeup. I prefer a cotton pad with micellar water.
• Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliator – I did enjoy using this cleanser, but I prefer the Clean and Clear exfoliating cleanser more.
• Dr Brandt Microderm Abrasion Cleanser – I did like this but the tube was only half full.

Misc:

• Marcela Moisturizing Gel – I did like this moisturizer but not enough to replace my current favorite.
• Organic Surge Eye Gel – This did nothing for my undereye area.
• Elemis Marine Cream – This cream was FANTASTIC and the scent was nice even though I do not like or enjoy floral scents. However, this stuff is expensive.
• Dr Lips Miracle Balm – I did not enjoy this and it was difficult to work with.
• Shine On SuperGoop – I did not enjoy this and it wasnt worth working to empty completely.
• Strivectin Neck Cream – Best Neck Cream EVER!
• Ulta Setting Spray – I really like the Ulta brand. It works to keep my makeup in place during the day. I have repurchased.
• Loreal Revitalift Foil Packet – Ive used about 7 of these this year and I dont know why I just dont pass them on.
• Maddscope – I go through 100 mls of this juice a month. LOVE it!
• Deadline – Limeade and Abetting – I really like this juice. This was my first bottle but it won’t be the last. As soon as I finish my 120ml bottle of POH juice, Ill re-order this one.

Time to look at my trash!
