Whats in my purse? [TAG]

I have seen this tag all over the internet, and I love it. I admit that Im a nosy person and love to know what people carry in their bags. So I decided to join in on all the fun.

I am currently using a Coach mini-Crosby purse. I got this purse second-hand on Poshmark and it still looks brand new! Despite it being a mini, it can hold everything I need.

Here is whats in my purse:

I have this black makeup bag that I received in an Ipsy. Inside is: Ulta blotting papers, Mac patent polish (Clever), Mac patent polish (Desert Evening), Revlon Kiss balm (Juicy Peach), Sephora Lip Balm, Sephora multi-tasking brush, It Ulta airbrush, Bareminerals tapered blush brush, Elf Prime and Stay Finishing Powder

I use a Coach wristlet to carry the necessities for my motion sickness and low blood sugar: motion sickness bracelets, Bonine, Benadryl, Ondancetron, Moist wipes, Lens cleaning wipes, chocolates, smarties and my handy dandy phone ‘doo-hickie’ for when I dont want to use my fingers on my phone. (For the life of me, I cant remember what its actually called!)

I also carry Dionis goat milk hand cream, a pocketbook hanger and two travel friendly e-cigarettes in the slip pockets.

I have a travel friendly hand sanitizer spray that I place in the zippered pocket of my purse.

I currently am using Michael Kors wallet (blue) for all of my cards and receipts.

I also use this Michael Kors Key holder (Vanilla) for my keys and drivers license.

I carry a tin of Altoids mints because they instantly make my mouth feel clean and I dont like chewing gum.

And lastly, I use the heart shaped Coach coin purse for my headphones.

Advent Calendars – Panning Edition

Who doesnt love Advent calendars? Even if you aren’t religious, theres just something about opening a gift everyday.

Recently, I was watching a video from Elle S on youtube. If you aren’t aware, Elle is a project pan youtuber. She found a post on reddit for a Shop your Stash – Project Pan styled Advent calendar. I thought this was a super clever idea!

Heres her video:

My version of this will be using a random number generator using my entire collection. I will skip mascara and items in my current project, should they come up.

  • Dec 1 – Michael Todd Beauty blue green algae toner
  • Dec 2 – Make Up Forever serum
  • Dec 3 – Kate Somerville Exfolikate
  • Dec 4 – Mac Prep and Prime primer
  • Dec 5 – Tarte Lip Facial
  • Dec 6 – Sephora Lip Stain (red)
  • Dec 7 – LOC shadow stick
  • Dec 8 – Mac paint pot (Let’s Skate)
  • Dec 9 – Make Up Forever Step 1 primer
  • Dec 10 – Sunday Riley Good Genes
  • Dec 11- Benefit Watts Up highlighter
  • Dec 12 – Bobbi Brown shadow stick (Golden Pink)

I will be posting Dec 13-24 on Dec 14th. However, I did use the random number generator for Dec 13-14, and they are: The Becca First Light Priming Filter primer and the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue.

Summer 2017 Empties

Sorry for my extended absence. I basically took the summer off and had a moderately successful no-buy. Anyway, I did finish a lot of products this summer. What is listed here are products I finished from June through August.

  • Claritin – I have terrible allergies so I take one of these a day. You can see how that adds up.
  • Orbit gum – Received this as a sample from pinchme and I did like the flavor of this gum.
  • Neutrogena makeup remover wipes, simple makeup remover wipes , cotton rounds – I used these to remove my makeup. I dont really like the simple wipes as much as the Neutrogena wipes. I still have a pack of the Neutrogena wipes that Im about halfway done with.
  • Clean & Clear cleanser – I LOVE this cleanser and and I didnt want to finish it because I couldn’t find it anywhere anymore. I purchased a similar cleaner from Clean & Clear so we will see how it stacks up against this one.
  • Purity cleanser – I didnt really like this and I believe I have a deluxe sample that I received from a subscription box.
  • Philosophy cleanser – I did like this cleanser, and Im currently using another cleanser from Philosophy in a full size.
  • Glamglow supermud mask – I LOVE this mask. I do have a smaller size already but Im working on one from Origins right now.
  • Sea breeze astringent – I really LOVE Sea Breeze. It makes my skin feel great and I also use it to clean up my skin after I color my hair.
  • Bamboo shampoo and conditioner – I got this from a Target box and I HATE this. It doesnt lather and I dont like the scent.
  • Pantene shampoo – Ive always liked Pantene shampoos but they aren’t good for my hair when I bleach and color it, so I only can use something like this when Im in between processes.
  • Dove deodorant – I liked this deodorant but I like the Degree deodorants more.
  • Motrin – When you have allergies, you get headaches.
  • Ulta makeup setting spray – I like this setting spray and have it in full size.
  • Japonesque lip wipe – This did remove my lipstick, but it had a horrible scent and tasted nasty.
  • Mac eye makeup remover – This really removed my eye makeup but I dont think Id purchase it.
  • Lush ocean salt scrub – Got a sample from Lush and really liked it, but the Tree Hut version is much less expensive.
  • Tarte moisturizer – I got this in a subscription box and I did like it, but I wouldn’t use it during the summer due to my oily skin. Someone with dry skin would love it.
  • Embryolisse moisturizer – I got this from Birchbox back when I was subscribed and I hated it by the end of the sample.
  • Burts bees day lotion – I loved using this as a hand cream.
  • Lush cup o coffee mask – This is a great face mask and really exfoliates. I havent pulled the trigger on the full size because I have so many masks to use first.
  • Mac fix + – Travel sized. I already have a full size and love this stuff. Its literally magic in a bottle.
  • Degree deodorant – My deodorant of choice.
  • Mac Studio Fix foundation – I did like this when I used it in the winter, but in the summer its way to ‘greasy’ for my skin.
  • Cover Girl powder foundation – This was in my Use it Up project and it was a great powder. Would repurchase after I finish the other powder foundations I have.
  • Max Factor, Sephora Lash Craft, Mad Lash, Iconoclast, makeup forever, Well People, Bobbi Brown smoky eye, elf makeup remover – I used a bunch of sample mascaras. I liked the Well People mascara alot but its almost as expensive as my favorite Mac mascara, so I can’t justify that purchase. The Elf Makeup Remover is great when you screw up your liner or mascara.
  • Brush cleaner sample from Ipsy – It did clean my brushes but the 100 point Ipsy points it costs was ridiculous.
  • Benefit lip stain – Hated this. The roses scent was way overpowering.
  • Isopropyl alcohol – I go thru at least one of these a year. I use it to repress my makeup and sanitize powder products.
  • 5 bottles of Maddscope from ScopeJuice – My all day vape.
  • 4 bottles of Limeade and Abetting – Another favorite vape juice.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Summer Empties. Im glad to be back sharing my thoughts with you.

March Empties

I dont usually post on Saturdays, but I missed posting this yesterday.

Here are my thoughts on my March empties:

  1. Garner Micellar Water – I love this stuff! I use it to remove my eye makeup with a cotton round. I have already purchased a replacement.
  2. Eyeko Fat Eyeliner – I had this in a MakeUp Use Up for this year. I received this in a Birchbox and while I enjoyed using it, I would not repurchased because I prefer other brands.
  3. Eyeko Eyeliner – I had this in a MakeUp Use Up for this year. I got this item in a Birchbox and I did enjoy using it, but I would not repurchase because there are other brands I prefer.
  4. Elf Eyeliner – This is another item I had in a Makeup Use Up for this year. This is one of my favorite eyeliners. I have not repurchased, because I am trying out another Elf eyeliner that many people rave about.
  5. Dionis hand cream (White Jasmine and Shea) – I love this hand cream. This moisturizes my skin and smells fantastic. I have already repurchased.
  6. Mane and Tail shampoo – I hated this shampoo. It seemed to tangle my very short hair and I did not enjoy the scent.
  7. Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara – My holy grail mascara. I love the wand and you can’t beat the price. I already have a replacement.
  8. Milk Mascara – I received this in a beauty box and ended up really liking the way it performed. I would consider repurchasing.
  9. Scope Juice (MaddScope) – I am always buying this stuff. Its my favorite e-juice.
  10. ROC Neck Cream – I had this in a project pan. Im glad I finished it because it smelled horrible.
  11. Mac Prep and Prime – I had his in a project pan. I love using this in cooler months and I would definitely repurchase if I didnt have a bunch of samples to always use.
  12. Pack of cotton rounds – I use these with my Micellar Water to remove my eye makeup. I have repurchased.
  13. Alterna Caviar Shampoo and Conditioner – I liked the way these smelled but I saw no difference in my hair. Foil packets dont always give you the best results since you might get two uses out of them.
  14. Matrix Biolage Recover Shampoo and Conditioner – I really dont have much of an opinion on these except that the shampoo has a better scent than the conditioner.

So those were my empties for the month of March. Im actually impressed at how many samples Ive been able to move out of my collection already this year.

Did you finish any items?

Mac Cosmetics Haul

If you are a Mac Select member, you may have received an email regarding their 25% off sale that was in-store AND online. I basically ran to my favorite Mac store and picked out the items pictured below. I dont normally purchase this much when I shop at Mac, but when a sale like this happens, I had to splurge.

My painterly paint pot has seen better days, so I picked another one up. This is my favorite eye primer (even though I do use others).

I love the travel size skin care products, so I picked up a travel sized Strobe Cream and Oil Control lotion.

I also picked up a pack of Select Sheer puffs. When I first tried using the puff included in the Select Sheer compact, I thought it was ridiculous but Ive really come to love it and I even use it with their powder foundation products.

I was able to get a sample of the In Extreme Dimension mascara while in-store as well as a sample of the Studio Fix liquid foundation. Somehow Ive never used these items before.

And last, but certainly not least -drum roll please-

My new X15 palette that I made myself!!!! Unfortunately, the palette and insert was not included in the 25% off sale, but instead of paying $6 for each shadow, we paid $4.50.

The shadows left to right are:

Top row: Rice Paper (I have this in pot form but its a great shade to set your primer with), Blanc Type, Yogurt, Orb, Naked Lunch

Row 2: Soft Brown (This is a great shade to put in your crease if you wear alot of neutrals), Texture, Haux, Wedge, Corduroy

Bottom Row: Sable, Coppering (my favorite lid shade), Amber Lights, Cranberry, Antiqued

Sorry for the mess on the palette already. I got these Saturday and have been using them! fullsizeoutput_5cc

February 2017 Empties

Here are my thoughts on my February empties:

  1. Keratin conditioner – I did not see an improvement using this product.
  2. Rodial toning spray – I had this in my samples project. I didnt hate using this toner, but I won’t go out of my way to purchase this.
  3. Mario badescu cleanser – I had this in my samples project. I did enjoy using this and once I get thru the other cleansers I have, I would consider purchasing it.
  4. Not Your Mothers Leave in Conditioner – This had a pleasant smell, but I didnt see any benefit using this versus not using it.
  5. Nivea Lotion – While I did like how moisturizing this lotion was, I did not like it in a potted package.
  6. Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser – I did enjoy this and worked thru 2 samples.
  7. Urban Decay Setting Spray – It did set my makeup in place the entire day, but so does my less expensive Ulta brand.
  8. BareMinerals Complexion Rescue – LOVE this product. I have a full sized tube and had forgotten about this small sample.
  9. Mac Prep + Prime – This was a nice primer to use in the cooler months when my skin isnt as oily.
  10. Model Co Powerlash mascara – This was in my make-up use up project. I did like this mascara.
  11. Palladio liquid eyeliner – This was in my make-up use up project. I LOVE this eyeliner. I always repurchase.
  12. Chella eyebrow pencil – This was in my make-up use up project. This shade was too light for me
  13. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer –  I did like how it made my skin feel. The scent was pleasant.
  14. Nivea In Shower Body lotion – While I liked the way this smelled, I did not like having to rinse it off.
  15. Plumes of Hazard Way Up Here (120 ml / 30 ml bottle) – Its safe to say that I like this e-liquid. My next purchase will be the Limeaid version however.
  16. Scope Maddscope – MY ADV without a doubt.
  17. Vaseline Intensive Care lotion – I liked this lotion for in my purse.

9 Samples To Spring Update 1

A month ago I posted my 9 Samples to Spring panning project. (See post here if you missed it: 9 Samples to Spring )

I have used up all but a small amount of the Mario Badescu cleanser (this will probably be done by the end of the week), one of the tubes of Mac’s Prep + Prime, and the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue.

I think Ive done great considering Ive only been using these products for a month.
